About us

Who are we?

Glen Contract Services is a Glasgow based, family business founded by Fiona Kennedy. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, we are able to offer our clients first class services at a competitive price.
Our management team must be highly qualified in, and fully trained across, a wide variety of disciplines so that we can deliver effective, efficient and environmentally sound cleaning to our clients.
Our Key Team Members are:

Fiona Kennedy, FCMI, MSc, BSc, MBICSc, Grad IOSH

Managing Director
Fiona is the ultimate cleaning specialist.
Very highly qualified in cleaning and cleaning management, Fiona's view is that an efficient and effective cleaning service should work quietly in the background helping clients achieve their goals: whether through creating a pleasant office environment or ensuring a food factory meets its legal hygiene requirements - day after day.
As MD of Glen Contracts, Fiona leads the management team and the workforce as they deliver specialist and everyday cleaning to private, commercial, industrial, public and third sector clients.
As Teaching Fellow for the University of Strathclyde's MSc Safety & Risk Management programme, Fiona provided tutor support to health and safety practitioners and professionals undertaking postgraduate qualifications at Certificate, Diploma, and MSc level.   As Course Leader for the Postgraduate Certificate level of the programme, Fiona reviewed and prepared course materials as well as moderating tutor assessments.
Fiona is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI); has a Masters degree in Safety and Risk Management; is a Graduate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH); has qualifications in Mental Health First Aid, and Adult Teaching & Learning; and has been a Member of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) since 1994.

Jim Kennedy

Sales & Servicing Director

An excellent communicator (he used to be a DJ!), Jim's customer service skills are unparalleled.
Jim is also very highly qualified and very highly experienced.  His particular expertise is in speciality cleaning techniques for particular applications.  The latest addition to his qualifications is Bio-Hazard Fogging and Infection Control - very apt at present.
He is an enthusiastic tester of new techniques and cleaning products: these assessments help Glen Contracts to offer the most appropriate specialist cleaning techniques and cleaning products to clients.

Diane Urquhart

Sales & Marketing Manager
A true Virgo, a perfectionist with OCD. Just what you need in the cleaning industry
Diane joined Glens in 2016 bringing a wealth of experience in Customer Service and also Sales & Marketing, which was gained in a variety of industries from a scheduled airline to Scotland's leading utility company.
Did you know?
Like Diane's experience, her interests are just as diverse from clay pigeon shooting to music by Rammstein. You know the old saying appearances can be deceptive. Well in her youth friends nicknamed her Lady Di as she bore some resemblance to the late Princess of Wales. They are both certainly known for their caring nature, but I don't think HRH rode motorbikes or could shoot like Annie Oakley!
